The Android for Cars App Library (currently in beta) provides app developers with vehicle-optimized templates for building three types of Android Auto apps: navigation, parking, and charging apps.
The screen templates in the Android for Cars App Library provide the UI for user activities such as:
- Selecting a location
- Choosing from a list or grid of items
- Taking an action based on information details
- Responding to a message from the app
- Previewing routes
To create user flows within their apps, app developers can customize both the templates and the sequence in which they appear. Android Auto automatically adapts the UI to all compatible vehicles.
