GoogleMobileAds Framework Reference

  • The GADAppEventDelegate protocol enables your app to respond to app events sent from ads.

  • When a banner or interstitial ad receives an app event, the delegate's corresponding methods (adView:didReceiveAppEvent:withInfo: or interstitialAd:didReceiveAppEvent:withInfo:) are called, providing event details.

  • These methods provide the event name and optional information, allowing developers to trigger custom actions based on these events within their app.

GADAppEventDelegate

@protocol GADAppEventDelegate <NSObject>

Implement your app event within these methods. The delegate will be notified when the SDK receives an app event message from the ad.

  • Called when the banner receives an app event.

    optional func adView(_ banner: GADBannerView, didReceiveAppEvent name: String, with info: String?)

        didReceiveAppEvent:(nonnull NSString *)name
                  withInfo:(nullable NSString *)info;
  • Called when the interstitial receives an app event.
