Method jobs.list

Lists reporting jobs that have been scheduled for a channel or content owner. Each resource in the response contains an id property, which specifies the ID that YouTube uses to uniquely identify the job. You need that ID to retrieve the list of reports that have been generated for the job or to delete the job.

Request

HTTP request

GET https://youtubereporting.googleapis.com/v1/jobs

Authorization

All YouTube Reporting API requests must be authorized. The Authorization guide explains how to use the OAuth 2.0 protocol to retrieve authorization tokens.

YouTube Reporting API requests use the following authorization scopes:

Scopes
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics.readonly View YouTube Analytics reports for your YouTube content. This scope provides access to user activity metrics, like view counts and rating counts.
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/yt-analytics-monetary.readonly View YouTube Analytics monetary reports for your YouTube content. This scope provides access to user activity metrics and to estimated revenue and ad performance metrics.

Parameters

Query parameters

Parameters
onBehalfOfContentOwner string
The ID of the content owner for whom the API request is being made. If the request does not specify a value for this parameter, the API server assumes that the request is being made for the user's own channel.
pageSize number
The requested page size. If no value is specified, the API server chooses an appropriate default.

Note that the server may return fewer report types than requested.
pageToken string
A token identifying a page of results that the server should return. Typically, this is the value of the nextPageToken property returned in response to the previous call to the jobs.list method.
includeSystemManaged boolean
Set the parameter value to true to indicate that the API response should include jobs for system-managed reports.

YouTube automatically generates system-managed reports for those YouTube content owners who have access to the same reports in the Reports menu. Thus, content owners do not need to call the jobs.create method to instruct YouTube to start generating those reports, and that method returns an error if the reportTypeId property identifies a system-managed report.

The parameter's default value is false.

Request body

The request body must be empty.

Response

If successful, this method returns a response body with the following structure:

{
  "jobs": [
    Job resource
  ],
  "nextPageToken": string
}
Properties
jobs[] list
A list of reporting jobs that have been scheduled for the channel or content owner associated with the request. Each item in the list is a job resource.
nextPageToken string
If the API response contains a value for this property, then additional jobs are available for the associated channel or content owner. To retrieve those jobs, submit an additional jobs.list request, setting the pageToken parameter value to this value.

Examples

Note: The code samples below may not represent all supported programming languages. See the client libraries documentation for a list of supported languages.

Java

The sample below uses the Java client library.

This sample demonstrates how to retrieve reports created by a specific job. It calls the jobs.list method to retrieve reporting jobs. It then calls the reports.list method with the jobId parameter set to a specific job ID to retrieve reports created by that job. Finally, the sample prints out the download URL for each report.

###
#
# This script retrieves YouTube Reporting API reports. Use cases:
# 1. If you specify a report URL, the script downloads that report.
# 2. Otherwise, if you specify a job ID, the script retrieves a list of
# available reports for that job and prompts you to select a report.
# Then it retrieves that report as in case 1.
# 3. Otherwise, the list retrieves a list of jobs for the user or,
# if specified, the content owner that the user is acting on behalf of.
# Then it prompts the user to select a job, and then executes case 2 and
#    then case 1.
# Usage examples:
# python retrieve_reports.py --content_owner_id=<CONTENT_OWNER_ID> --local_file=<LOCAL_FILE>
# python retrieve_reports.py --content_owner_id=<CONTENT_OWNER_ID> --job_id=<JOB_ID> --local_file=<LOCAL_FILE>
# python retrieve_reports.py --content_owner_id=<CONTENT_OWNER_ID> --report_url=<REPORT_URL> --local_file=<LOCAL_FILE>
