Feature deprecations

  • This page lists Gemini for Google Cloud feature deprecations and their shutdown schedule.

  • Gemini Code Assist tools will be deprecated on October 2, 2025, and shut down on October 14, 2025.

  • After October 14, 2025, using the @ operator with the tool name for Gemini Code Assist tools will not work, and tools are being replaced by agent mode.
