The Black Women in Tech campaign champions the increased representation of Black women in the tech industry. Hear Black women share their personal narratives and professional experiences, and browse educational content on utilizing Google tools and technologies led by skilled Black women technologists.


Observed on March 8th, International Women's Day (IWD) is a day to celebrate and reflect on women's pivotal influence in tech and other sectors. Since 2013, Women Techmakers Ambassadors has organized over 1,000 events across 75+ countries to celebrate IWD.


Year after year, Women Techmakers has increased the participation of women at Google I/O, Google's annual conference for developers and technologists. In 2020, in collaboration with Jigsaw, we launched a hackathon and a series of online training sessions dedicated to finding ways of improving women's online safety. The following year, more than 2,000 women and allies from 50+ nations took part in 13 community-led hackathons and training workshops. Participants devised over 100 practical solutions to safeguard women's online experiences.
