Klien Native Portabel adalah teknologi yang memungkinkan eksekusi aplikasi native yang portabel dan aman di Chrome. Ekstensi project Native Client ini menghadirkan performa dan kontrol tingkat rendah kode native ke browser web modern tanpa mengorbankan keamanan dan portabilitas web.
PNaCl membantu developer membuat bentuk aplikasi native yang tidak bergantung pada platform dan menjalankannya di browser tanpa perlu menginstal. Di balik layar, Chrome menerjemahkan aplikasi PNaCl ke kode mesin pada waktu proses untuk mencapai performa yang mendekati native. Di browser lain, aplikasi PNaCl dapat menggunakan Emscripten dan pepper.js untuk mempertahankan fungsi dengan hit performa minimal.
