The Google Places API

The Google Places API is a service that returns information about Places — establishments, geographic locations, or prominent points of interest — using HTTP requests. Place requests specify locations as latitude/longitude coordinates.

The lessons in this class provide an introduction to using the Places API, before revealing some more advanced use cases, including the use of Place Autocomplete to help your users search more quickly.
