This page provides you with links to the documents that describe your relationship to Google and Orkut as a developer, including Terms of Service, Policies and Guidelines. It is your responsibility as a developer to respect all applicable rules.
Orkut Application Program Terms of Service
You may not charge users any fee for the use of your application, unless you have entered into a separate agreement with Google or obtained Google's written permission.
API Client policies
If you are in Brazil, the laws of Brazil, excluding any applicable choice of law rules, will apply to any disputes arising out of or related to these terms or the Services.
Google will announce if it intends to discontinue or make backwards incompatible changes to this API or Service. Google will use commercially reasonable efforts to continue to operate those Orkut Application Platform versions and features identified at http://developers.google.com/orkut/rel/orkut-api-list without these changes until April 20, 2015, unless (as Google determines in its reasonable good faith judgment):
- required by law or third party relationship (including if there is a change in applicable law or relationship), or
- doing so could create a security risk or substantial economic or material technical burden.
The above policy is the "Deprecation Policy."After April 20, 2015, this Deprecation Policy will not apply.
Premium Developer Program
Large companies willing to commit a great amount of resources to application development in Orkut may get additional benefits for their applications. See this page for further information about this program.
Special Quota Requests
To ensure the availability of our servers and fairness to all developers, we may impose certain limits to API usage. If your application needs to exceed the default limits, please file a quota request.
