Submit or update your feed

After your feed has been properly set up and meets our specifications, it's time to get it online. Follow the instructions below to submit your new feed or update your current one.

Submit your feed

If your news content is eligible and meets our technical specifications, you can submit your content to begin the onboarding process.

  • Synonyms: Alternate terms that users can say to launch your content on Google Assistant.
    • We encourage you to add three to five synonyms that accurately represent your content so that users can use these alternate, branded terms to access your news content.
    • Only exact matches to your brand are considered, such as "NYT" for New York Times. We won't accept general or event-specific terms such as "daily news" or "olympics" for your content, as they're reserved for other actions on Google Assistant.
  • If you'd like to add an RSS feed for video news briefings to your current audio news briefings on Google Assistant, you may submit an update form.
  • Onboarding reviews can take up to five business days.

Update your feed

If you make updates to an RSS feed that's already onboarded on Google Assistant, please notify us about these changes by submitting this update form.

  • Our system currently doesn't automate updates that you make to your RSS feeds. You need to notify us when you make any modifications.
