The Shipment Tracking capability lets you provide an improved consumer experience and increased delivery success rate for your Google Maps Platform Last Mile Fleet Solution.
You can display a delivery driver's real-time position, ETA, route, and stops remaining. You can create other seamless geo-enabled experiences inside your consumer app or website, based on location information from the Driver SDK.
The Shipment Tracking capability includes a JavaScript library for web and mobile solutions that provides:
- Real-time location updates rendered on the map.
- Accurate ETA to improve delivery success.
- Automatically adjusted ETAs to changing circumstances (such as sudden traffic).
- Route transparency (the number of stops and distance) to increase receiver confidence.
