Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (SPII) is private information about an individual. PII and SPII may occasionally be stored in Google Issue Tracker. To mitigate the risk of this information being visible, content in Google Issue Tracker that contains or is suspected to contain PII will be marked with a PII flag. This PII flag will restrict access so that the content can only be viewed by those with a business need (and never by the general public). Attempts to access content marked as PII (both successful and unsuccessful) will be logged and auditable.
Currently, PII access restriction is available only on attachments coming from Android Beta Feedback. Support for access restriction on comments is forthcoming.
