Ben has been fascinated with communication technology since before he can remember. Those passions led him to found Mojo Lingo, a software development team whose mission is to help companies create communications applications that work like magic. With experience in diverse technology disciplines such as telephony, system architecture, software development and networking he enjoys solving broad or complex problems. Today the Mojo Lingo team are leading innovators in the real time communication space.
Ben is also a strong believer in the power of Open Source, having contributed and led several projects over the years. He is best known for his involvement with Adhearsion, a Ruby-language framework for voice applications, and Asterisk, the Open Source PBX. Previous to leading Adhearsion, he served for several years on the core team of the Horde Framework, a well known webmail and collaboration suite.
Ben lives in Atlanta with his wife and daughter, and enjoys frightening the citizens of Atlanta with unexpected musical performances, in the form of street-attack marching bands.
