Biography

Alamgir is a self-taught engineer and startup junkie who’s worked on consumer apps in the social and gaming spaces. He’s co-founded several startups and has worked as a Product Manager at market-leaders such as Facebook and Zynga. While at Zynga, Alamgir was part of the team that implemented the first company-wide social game platform “Zynga Live”. He also co-founded TapResearch, a mobile market research company aiming to disrupt the market research space by pairing mobile-optimized surveys with mobile gamers. He is currently an Android Engineer at YC startup Tikl driving growth on the messaging app Talkray and creating other compelling VoIP-based social apps.

Alamgir’s expertise lies in creating Minimum Viable Products for early-stage companies with the aim to seek out product-market fit and to employ various tactics to achieve early growth. He is also versed in Data Analysis and extensive A/B/C/etc testing to discern user behavior and optimal UI/UX. His startup experience makes him very helpful with companies looking for feedback on their prototypes or ideas and can help solidify the initial push that products need to get off the ground.

Alamgir lives in San Jose and studied Business Administration at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He enjoys working out, playing video games, and riding motorcycles at the local raceways in California (he rides a Suzuki GSXR-600 and a Triumph Daytona 675R).
