Resource records

You can set resource records of the following types:

  • A
  • AAAA
  • CNAME
  • MX
  • TXT
We also provide HTTP302 forwarding, so you can redirect website visitors to another site.

Resource records can be set on any subdomain, except that we do not support CNAME records on the root domain. However, you can place an HTTP302 redirect on the domain to a subdomain with a CNAME record, such as in this example:

example.com ---HTTP302---> www.example.com ---CNAME---> yoursite.com

We also let you define variables which you can use to set DNS record values programmatically. For example: %my_subdomain%.example.com becomes foo.example.com when my_subdomain is passed as foo.
