Revoking a Statement

Revoking a statement

There is no global statement repository that can be modified, or any way to explicitly declare a statement as no longer supported. You will have to depend on the methods here to revoke a statement, and depend on your client app to check for the presence of the statement in a timely manner.

To delete a statement:

  • For websites, delete the statement from the statement list, or delete the statement file entirely. Website statements expire after the web server stops serving them plus the cached TTL time. The Google Digital Assets API enforces a max limit of eight days on the TTL.
  • For Android apps, update a new APK without the statement. Statements become undiscoverable when a new version of the app is uploaded and set to "live" in the Play Store. It may take up to two days for old statements to flush out of all the caches.
