My Biography
Sabyasachi Mukhopadhyay is a PhD Research Scholar at IIT Kharagpur. He is an Assistant Professor of Business Analytics in Post Graduate Management Studies at BIMS Kolkata affiliated to MAKAUT. He is also the ‘Google Developer Expert in Machine Learning’ and ‘Intel Software Innovator’. Mukhopadhyay is involved in teaching IoT at the University of Calcutta as a Visiting Faculty. He is also the Visiting Faculty of Analytics in Post Graduate Management Studies at Symbiosis Center for Information Technology (SCIT) affiliated to SIU Pune (Private Deemed University). He served as a University Faculty of Business Analytics and Statistics at School of Management Science, MAKAUT (Govt. of WB), WB, India. He was also the University Course Coordinator of BBA and MBA in Business Analytics at MAKAUT. Meanwhile, Mukhopadhyay was a Project Scientist at Nanoscope Technologies for brief period of time. Mukhopadhyay did his B.Tech in ECE from CEM Kolaghat (affiliated to MAKAUT) in 2012. Mukhopadhyay received MS in Physical Sciences from IISER Kolkata and was the ‘Topper’ of 2015 batch. He is the ‘Course Curriculum Developer’, ‘Paper Setter’, ‘Examiner’ and ‘Moderator’ of MAKAUT and SCIT Pune.He was the ‘Co-Founder’ and ‘Chief Research Officer’ of Twelit MedTech Pvt. Ltd and currently involved in startup mentoring activities.For instance, he is the ‘Honorary Advisor’ (Technical Development) of Solaire Initiative Pvt. Ltd.He was featured in Facebook’s special coverage ‘The Limitless’ as one of India’s leading innovators and entrepreneurs of 2018. He has more than 55 publications which include patent, books, journals and proceedings.His findings on AI based retinal disease detection and AI based early stage cancer detection has been highlighted in all leading newspapers like ‘The Hindu’, ‘The Economic Times’, ‘The Indian Express’, ‘Business Standard’, ‘Daily World’ as well as on television channels like ‘Zee News’, ‘Odisha Tv’, ‘NewsX’, ‘News World India’. His research success also has been featured in leading national and international tech magazines like ‘eHealth’, ‘Analytics India Magazine’, ‘The Better India’, ‘BioSpectrum’. He received several international awards which include ‘Best Research Paper Award’, prestigious ‘SPIE Photonics Education Scholarship-2014’ (only 19 students from Asia, 144 students around world to receive that), ‘Most Inspiring Facebook Developer Circle Lead’ (twice), 'Best Supportive Lead' , 'Master "Hacker" Award', 'Alumni Award 2020 By IISER Kolkata' and so on.He also received several travel grants from SPIE, IISER to present research works in international conferences. Mukhopadhyay was on-boarded as nominated ‘Board Member and External Expert of Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC)’ at IEM Kolkata, Techno India Main Salt Lake and IISER Kolkata. Mukhopadhyay was also on-boarded as an External Expert of NISP committee at IISER Kolkata. Mukhopadhyay delivered invited talks, served as panelist and judge of hackathons in leading IITs, IISERs, NITs, IIEST Shibpur and many leading state, central universities of India. He also delivered invited talks in foreign universities like 'University of Global Village, Bangladesh', 'Université Kofi Annan de Guinée, Guinea', 'Gyalpozhing College of Information Technology, Bhutan' and so on. Sabyasachi’s research on AI based early stage cancer detection has been included in the current affair syllabus of India’s top Govt. official competitive exams like UPSC, IAS, IBPS, Banking etc. Mukhopadhyay was also invited to deliver talks in ‘ATAL AICTE Faculty Development Programme’ of IEM Kolkata, CEM Kolaghat, NIT Mizoram, NIT Durgapur and ‘Refresher Courses for Faculties’ in Calcutta University. He delivered invited talk in a webinar organized by IT Department of MAKAUT (Govt. of WB) on the eve of Student Induction Programme of new B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, BSc batches. He was also invited as a ‘Judge’ of NASA Space Apps Challenge 2018 at Heritage Institute of Technology Kolkata. He was the Judge of ‘Hult Prize’ at Netaji Subhas Engineering College and Calcutta University.He delivered TEDx talks twice in TEDxBalajiITS and TEDx HITKolkata.His TEDx talk at TEDxBalajiITS was featured in news channels including ETV Telengana, Chappudu TV and the newspapers like Velugu, Andhra Jyothy, Sakshi and so on.He wrote technical articles for the editorial of leading Bengali daily, Anandabazar Patrika.He also wrote an invited article on AI applications for COVID 19 detection written in Bengali was published in Bigyan Katha (Page No. 16), a publication by Vigyan Prasar, an autonomous organization of DST, Govt. of India. Mukhopadhyay received honorary mention in government official site of 'Embassy of India to Switzerland, The Holy See & Liechtenstein' for his research.
