Russell is a mobile engineer at Touchlab, where he uses Kotlin Multiplatform to share logic between Android and iOS codebases. He began developing Android apps in 2012, and started using Kotlin in 2015. He was an early adopter of Kotlin Multiplatform, writing his first shared mobile code in 2018. He is the author and maintainer of Multiplatform Settings, a key-value storage library which was one of the earliest mobile multiplatform libraries available. In addition to writing code, he is an organizer in the Boston-area Kotlin community and enjoys speaking at conferences. When he needs to relax, he turns to board games, video games, running, or photography.
