My Biography
Hands-on software engineer with 30 years experience in the architecture, design, development and deployment of embedded, mobile, desktop and enterprise applications across a number of industries/domains and using a wide range of technologies. John has been focussed on Android development for over 10 years, the last 3 spent using Kotlin. Since late 2018 he has been also investigating the emerging world of Kotlin Multiplatform...in particular when combined with use of Declarative UI frameworks. John has also created a number of open source samples, including PeopleInSpace (https://github.com/joreilly/PeopleInSpace) (which was also included as one of the samples in official KMM docs - https://kotlinlang.org/docs/mobile/samples.html#peopleinspace), BikeShare (https://github.com/joreilly/BikeShare) and GalwayBus (https://github.com/joreilly/galway-bus-android).
