My Biography

Eliana is an associate professor at the Department of Geography at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. She is an agronomist and has been working with remote sensing technologies to study natural vegetation and protected areas using satellite imagery since the year 2000. She currently uses Earth Engine to process large amounts of satellite data to generate research results and also to teach remote sensing and biogeography for undergraduate and graduate students. In her spare time, she enjoys training dogs and hiking.
