WebXR

The WebXR Device API provides access to virtual reality and augmented reality devices in compatible web browsers. It is a product of the Immersive Web Community Group, which has contributors from Google, Microsoft, Mozilla, and others. The "X" in XR stands for anything in the spectrum of immersive experiences.

The immersive web is a spectrum from complete reality to
completely immersive, with various levels in between.

WebXR's Augmented Reality module allows for virtual content to be aligned with the real-world environment before being displayed to users. WebXR uses ARCore to power AR experiences on the Google Chrome browser on Android devices.
