Google Drive Tables is App Maker's lightweight and general-purpose data backend.
Google Drive Tables requires no set up and is easy to use. App Maker automatically creates your tables when you publish an app. As a result, Google Drive Tables doesn't share data between apps or between multiple deployments of the same app.
Restrictions and limitations
Google Drive Tables has the following limitations:
- Data in the database is only accessible by a single App Maker app deployment.
- The database doesn't support transactions.
- The size of a Drive Tables database is limited to 250 MB.
Like other databases, Drive Tables has more storage overhead than CSV and other raw formats. Your database will be larger than the source data in some cases.
