When a new version of Open Bidder is released, you will need to update your installation. Follow the steps in this guide to complete the upgrade.
Update Open Bidder version in your local Maven repository
First pull the latest version of the Open Bidder source code. From a terminal, go to the directory where you checked out the Open Bidder code and enter the following command:
Next, update the version of Open Bidder installed in your local Maven repository with the command:
mvn clean install
Update Open Bidder UI deployed to App Engine
Next you must update the version of Open Bidder UI deployed to App Engine. From the top level of the Open Bidder source, this can be done with:
mvn -pl open-bidder-ui appengine:update
Package and distribute your interceptor JAR
Update the Open Bidder version in your interceptor project's
pom.xml file. If you followed the tutorial here, then this
involves updating the
<properties> ... <openBidderVersion><!-- The new version number --></openBidderVersion> ... </properties>
Then you will have to repackage and upload the tar.gz containing your bidder server. See Creating Your Bidder Server for details on creating and uploading it.
Terminate and recreate bidders
After upgrading to a new version and uploading your repackaged bidder server, any existing bidders will need to be terminated and recreated in order to apply the update.
