Before you can successfully launch your lodging integration with the Aggregator Unit, you must first perform a series of one-time tasks to set up your environment. After that, you should perform periodic maintenance tasks to ensure that your data is up to date.
One-time tasks
The following are one-time tasks that you perform during your initial implementation:
- Setup: Configure your new Actions Center account by adding contacts, signing the Terms of Service, and granting appropriate user access.
- Feeds: The transitional Listings-to-POI converter is enabled by default to help you get started, but we recommend implementing the Point of Interest (POI) Feed to ensure data coverage and quality.
- Launch: Verify your integration and launch.
Active Maintenance
The following table summarizes the data feeds and files that you regularly provide to Google after you have completed the one-time tasks.
| Type of data | Description | Structure | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pricing & Inventory | Update pricing and availability for your services, including base rates, conditional rates, and private rates. The way in which you update price information depends on your delivery mode. | N/A | Very frequently |
| Landing Pages | Manage and update property landing page URLs using Hotel Center. These are the URLs that users will land on once clicking on a specific property in the aggregator unit. Landing pages are defined through your landing pages file using the landing pages tab in Hotel Center. | Landing Pages File | As needed |
| Price Accuracy | Ensure that your Prices maintain a high accuracy score. Ensuring your prices consistently stay at `Excellent` will prevent any lost participation due to poor accuracy. | N/A | As needed |
| Point of Interest Feed | Update Lodging property information, including identifying information (address, lat/long, phone number) and property content (images, ratings etc.). | POI Feed | 3x/week |
