Prepare for your Google Cloud certification exam in a no-cost, up to 9-week guided cohort with instructor-led training and technical mentorship.

Here's how to apply

  1. Step 1

    Join GEAR

    You must be logged in as a GEAR member to register for the Get Certified program. Joining GEAR has no-cost and grants you immediate access to program benefits, learning paths, and more.
  2. Step 2

    Confirm eligibility

    You'll need to be employed by a Google Cloud customer to qualify. Please provide a corporate email address to verify your customer status and secure your spot.
  3. Step 3

    Choose your track

    Select the supported certification track you want. Make sure you choose carefully because you can't switch tracks once registration closes.
  4. Step 4

    Secure your spot

    Submit your application during the 4-week registration window. If registration is closed, just select "Notify me" to receive updates on the next edition.

What's required

  • Corporate email address

    You'll need a valid work email linked to a Google Workspace account. Personal and university emails will not be accepted. Non-Workspace accounts won't allow you to participate in program activities that require Google Drive and Meet.

  • Live attendance policy

    We strongly recommend attending the weekly virtual sessions live so you can have open discussion and interaction with Google experts in real time, optimizing your experience in the program.

  • Time commitment

    Each edition is an accelerated journey, up to 9 weeks. Please plan to dedicate approximately 9 hours per week to live sessions, self-paced labs, independent study, and more.

  • Limited capacity & enrollment

    We keep cohorts exclusive to give attendees more interaction with Google instructors, labs, and sessions. Cohorts are filled on a first-come, first-served basis during the 4-week registration window.

  • Voucher eligibility

    Certification vouchers are not automatic. To earn yours, you'll need to complete all required learning milestones (labs and skill badges) within the cohort timeline.

  • No cost membership & program

    Joining GEAR costs nothing. And once you're accepted into the cohort, your training is fully funded, with the opportunity to earn a certification exam voucher when finished.

Rolling reviews

Applications are processed on a rolling basis during the open registration window.

Application badge

Once your application is submitted, a "Get Certified" application badge will be added to your Google Developer profile.

Enrollment status

You'll receive an email regarding your enrollment status no later than 7 days prior to the cohort kickoff.

    If the channel isn't visible, go to "Channels & Roles" at the top of your list and select it from the menu.

What is GEAR?

GEAR stands for Gemini Enterprise Agent Ready. It's an all-in-one learning initiative that simplifies the fragmented AI landscape into a structured journey. As a member of GEAR, you gain no-cost access to curated learning tracks on the Google Skills platform, official recognition through a GEAR badge on your developer profile, and exclusive opportunities to participate in advanced programs like Get Certified. It's designed to give you the practical skills and technical mentorship needed to build sophisticated AI agents with confidence.

Who is eligible to participate in the Get Certified Program?

The Get Certified program has a thorough application review process. All applicants begin on a waitlist and are considered for admission by the Get Certified team. To start the process and receive the most relevant updates and information about the program, please use your work (corporate) email address to sign into GEAR (must be a Google Account) and apply to Get Certified. [If you run into an issue creating your profile, use your personal email to create a GEAR account, then enter your work (corporate) email when applying to Get Certified.]

How do I update my application if my company email or desired certification track changes?

Click “Update application” at the top of the registration page, then “View settings” to review your submission and make changes. Don't forget to click "Save" once you've finished.

Can I join multiple certification cohorts in one year?

Yes, however, the Get Certified program has limited seats, so in each edition we prioritize new learners over those who have already participated in a given year.

How do I control what e-mails I receive?

You control the e-mails you receive from the GEAR program by visiting the My Community section of your Developer Profile and clicking "View Settings" for GEAR.
